Hyewon Shin is an accomplished pianist, music educator, and collaborative pianist with over a decade of experience in performance and teaching. Holding a Master of Music and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studied under Jung Ja Kim, she combines technical excellence with artistic depth.
Her academic journey began at Dongduk Women’s University in Seoul, where she graduated with honors in piano performance. Recognized for her exceptional artistry, Hyewon has earned numerous prestigious awards, including first prizes at the Singapore International Piano Competition and the Korea Piano Duo Competition, alongside accolades like the Korea-China International Piano Competition and Golden Classical Music Awards. She has also been the recipient of esteemed scholarships, such as the Marie Chelius Morse Scholarship, reflecting her dedication to both musical and academic excellence.
As an educator, Hyewon is deeply committed to nurturing her students’ love for music while guiding them to achieve technical mastery and emotional interpretation.
