Joanna Guo-Standard Instructor
Ms. Joanna is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California as a professional instructor of piano with more than 10 years of teaching experience. She started playing piano at the age of 6. She obtained her B.A. in Music from Cal State East Bay, and continued to earn an M.A. in Music with an emphasis in piano performance at the same institution.
Joanna Guo just hold her solo concert in April, 2019. Performed “Suite in E minor,HWV 429: Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gigue” by George Frideric Handel; “Sonata in F minor Op.2 No.1: Allegro, Adagio, Manuetto, Prestissimo” by Ludwig van Beethoven; “Rhapsody in g minor Op.79 No.2” by Johannes Brahms; “Estampes: Jardin sous la pluie” by Claude Debussy. And in the same year, she was invited to Master Class with Betty Woo in UC Berkeley.
Joanna Guo is passionate about teaching piano and introducing young students to music. Her love for music and the art of teaching piano fundamentals creates a solid and positive experience for each student. Ms. Joanna offers piano lessons from beginner to advanced levels.
She has prepared students for numerous recitals as well as comprehensive curricula exams, including MTAC’s Certificate of Merit and ABRSM.EXPERIENCE.
